Welcome to Spanish class!
Grade 5
The class is learning the vocablary for the body. The students have received a vocabulary paper to bring home to study the words and spelling of the words. The students will have worksheets for class and for homework. They will also be able to practice the vocabulary by going on the website Quia.com. (click quia web, scroll down to Spanish, cick it, then, keywords: body vocabulary) Click on the 1st column to play a vocabulary game.
The class is having a quiz on 6 vocabulary words that describe feelings on Thurs. 2/9.
Grade 6 Spanish and Religion
The Spanish class is learning subject pronouns and -ar present tense verbs. This chapter is very important because verbs will always be used by the students. If a student needs extra help with this chapter, he/she should see me to make a date to stay after school for 1/2 hour.
Religion -
The class is beginning a new chapter. The students will be tested on the material in Chapter 5 on Wed. 2/8.
Grade 7 Spanish
The students are writing their skits that deal with aches and pains, doctor's visits and daily routines. The skits will be performed in class the week of 2/6.
Grade 8
The class is learning more clothing and jewlery vocabulary. They will practice the vocabulary using the Quizlet and Quia websites as well as oral and written work. The students will write skits on going to the stores, trying on merchandise, and talking about sizes, styles and prices.
The class will have a quiz on direct object pronouns Wed. 2/8
